FAQs

How long have you been shooting weddings?

I’ve been photographing weddings since 2007. So that’s over 15 years. I’ve shot hundreds of weddings and assisted other professionals in the industry. So I can safely say I’m a seasoned professional and probably seen and heard it all.

I started shooting video a little later in 2012. So I have 12 years of experience. Shooting video felt like a natural progression to me as a photographer. It’s all about telling unique stories and creating movies where’s your’re the director, cinematographer, cameraman and editor all in one.

What should we expect when we hire you?

When you hire me, you can expect a photographer who is professional but very easy going and easy to work with. I will work within your day-of-wedding timeline and provide feedback whenever I feel we need to make the necessary adjustments. You can expect that me and my team will capture all the important and memorable moments while making sure we stay out of the way so that they happen naturally and without pressure. You can expect your guests to have a good time and that we will capture those moments as well.

What’s the booking process and payment terms?

The first step is getting on a consultation call with me to discuss your wedding, your expectations, packages we offer and deliverables. When you sign the contract, a deposit of 30% is required to seal the date. The rest is divided into equal payments up to one week before the wedding.

How soon after the wedding do we get our pictures / video ?

The standard turn around time is 3 to 4 weeks for photography and 8 to 12 weeks for video. The turn around time starts after the day of the wedding.

What is documentary photography and how do you differ from other photographers?

Documentary photography is simply a style of photography that aims to tell a story of the event with candid, genuine photos that capture not only the moment but also the emotional atmosphere of it. The result is a richer, lasting collection of images that is a visual narrative of the day.

Does that mean you just take cadid shots and won’t take posed, photos at all during my wedding?

No, in fact, we set aside at least 45-60 minutes after the ceremony to take formal shots with your family, friends and bridal party and romantic shots of just you and your partner. For those, we decide before hand, the location and order of pictures. The romantic shots will be “posed” but mostly done in a natural way where you interact with each other instead of just smiling at the camera.

What packages do you offer, and what is included in each package? Can we customize our package, like the number of hours of coverage?

I offer photography and videography packages. The standard package for either services include 2 shooters and up to 8 hours of coverage. There are also elopement packages for smaller weddings with include 1 photographer/videographer and 6 hours of coverage or less.

Yes you can absolutely customize your package so that it fits your schedule. That is the purpose of the consultation call!

Can we see samples of your previous work?

Of course, you can view a galleries from real weddings I’ve shot in the past by going to the Work link on the main menu and select photography or cinematography.
